QuakeCon 2006 (Page 6) - The Main Event, Part 1
The cup stacking
and quake logos were actually done during the main event, but these are
shots from the main event itself.
Quake 4 Finals
This is a shot of
the 2v2 finals. Meh, these photos aren't particularly exciting,
so I'll just put one up. Of course, the gameplay was exciting,
but I can't exactly capture that very well with a still shot.

Circus Show
I forgot exactly what they called themselves, but "circus" was in the
title. To be honest, I wasn't too impressed by this one.
Their acts didn't necessarily take much talent -- just guts... or
stupidity.>
So she fits
through an oversized racquet...
I guess you have
to give it to this guy, though. He may not have the most
glamorous job at Blockbuster, but he's busting his balls to get it
done. This is actually take 2. The block didn't break
properly on the first try. He must either like pain or not want
to have any children.
So next on the
list is cutting fruit. With a machete. While it rests on
various body parts. I suppose this is where I should use my sharp
wit and insert some cutting remark.
Balloon sword
swallowing. I think they were just trying to see how obscene they
could be and get away with it. At least this one was blue.
The one before that was almost a perfect flesh tone, but it popped... I
won't go there.
You may think this straitjacket escape comes from many hours of
practice in the circus. In reality, it comes from real world
experience, because these people are insane.
The Human
Pincushion... the guy in the center. You were looking at SpICeY,
weren't you? Don't lie. So, yeah, he just stuck pins in
himself...
... then had audience members come up and pull them out. I spared
you the shots containing blood. This wasn't an illusion.
This was the result of poorly designed straitjackets at a mental
facility.
Guitar Hero Finals
I've never played
this game, but I downloaded this Frets on
Fire
game, which I think is pretty close, and sucked horribly at it.
Thinking back, it makes the songs these guys were doing most impressive.
I guess the guy
on the right was the "hero". The crowd actually begged for an
encore, and the guy on the left did a lot better on the second
song. Kind of sucked to be him. I think he was probably the
better player -- just didn't know the first song as well.
