QuakeCon 2006 (Page 7) - The Main Event, Part 2
This may be the
last page, finally [Ed. Note: NOT!]. It only took like 2 months
to get it all up
here, huh? :P
Magic Show
Or perhaps I
should say, more technically, "illusion show". Magic would be
more like this.
So here we have
the traditional "stick a bunch of swords into a box but leave plenty of
room for a person to fit" trick.
Ok, this wasn't
really a magic trick, but I don't think I had seen anybody use a whip
in a magic show before. The shows I've seen that involve whips...
well, never mind. The guy whipped two of those tasseled
whatchamadoodles out of the kids hands and one from behind his
back. I mostly posted it because it was a nice action shot.
He used the whip for some card trick later on.
First whips, and
now he's playing with his balls. I do have a dirty mind, don't I?
I was going
to say something about his prick, but I felt that would be pushing it a
bit too far.
And, of course, you can't have a magic show without the classic
metamorphosis trick. They actually pulled this one off pretty
well.
The Proposal
Disguised as
the nVidia quick draw finals, one surprised "contestant" received
something far more valuable than a $1000 prize. His scripted
opponent turned out to be somebody he knew... quite well.
She had something
to say before the match.
How could you say
"no" to something like that? I mean, really. Where do you
get a girl that will propose to you at QuakeCon. Sure ET:QW looked
cool, and Carmack's speech was interesting, but this has to be the most
far out thing I saw at QuakeCon 2005. Except maybe Rubber
Boy. That will have to come on page 7, though. I got
distracted playing this
so I need to get to bed now.
